1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION

1.1 These Terms of Service apply to your use of the website www.angkapaus.com, as well as to any offers, orders, deliveries and agreements made with Angkapaus through the website, by email or by phone. Any additional or different terms proposed by a customer are not accepted unless Angkapaus has agreed to them in writing.

1.2 These terms apply to consumers, meaning any natural person who places an order for purposes that are not mainly related to a trade, business, craft or profession. Throughout this page, such a person is referred to as "you" or "the customer".

2. ABOUT ANGKAPAUS

2.1 Angkapaus is an online store operated by Betaalbaar Textiel VOF that sells comfortable, practical bath towels for everyday use.

2.2 Angkapaus may update, adjust or limit parts of the website or its services from time to time, for example to improve functionality or fix issues.

2.3 Angkapaus may change these Terms of Service at any time. The version published on the website at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order, unless a change is required by law, in which case the updated terms may also apply to earlier orders where legally necessary.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT

3.1 You do not need to create an account to shop with us, but if you choose to create one, you must provide a valid email address and set a password. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for any activity that happens under your account.

3.2 Creating an account is free. We may ask you to confirm certain details when you register, and you agree to keep your account information accurate and up to date.

3.3 We use your email address to send order confirmations, shipping updates and other communication related to your purchase. We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including the use of secure connections when you place an order or enter payment details.

3.4 By placing an order, you agree that we may contact you by email or phone regarding that order.

3.5 You agree to use the website only through normal means, such as a standard web browser, and not through automated tools or scripts intended to extract data or place orders in bulk.

3.6 Content on the Angkapaus website, including text, images and design elements, may not be copied or reused without our permission.

4. HOW A CONTRACT IS FORMED

4.1 When you place an order on our website, this counts as an offer to purchase. We will send you an order confirmation by email, which confirms that we have received your order but does not yet mean the order has been accepted. A contract is only formed once we confirm that your order has been accepted or once we ship your order to you.

4.2 We reserve the right to decline an order, for example in cases of suspected fraud, an out of stock item, or a pricing error, and will inform you if this happens.

5. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

5.1 We currently ship exclusively to addresses within the Netherlands. Orders are shipped from our fulfillment locations in Germany and France.

5.2 We offer two shipping options at checkout:

Standard shipping (free): delivery within 4 to 5 business days.

Express insured shipping (EUR 4.95): delivery within 2 to 3 business days, with insurance included for extra peace of mind.

5.3 Delivery times are estimates and start from the moment your order has been shipped, not from the moment it was placed. Occasional delays can occur due to circumstances outside our control, such as carrier delays or customs checks.

5.4 We work with reputable shipping carriers to deliver your order safely and on time.

5.5 If you wish to return an item, please contact us first at support@angkapaus.com so we can provide instructions. Returned items should be sent back in their original condition and packaging where possible.

6. OWNERSHIP OF GOODS

Items sold by Angkapaus remain the property of Angkapaus until they have been paid for in full.

7. PRICES AND PAYMENT

7.1 All prices shown at checkout are final and include applicable VAT. Any shipping costs, such as the express shipping fee, are shown clearly before you complete your order.

7.2 We offer several secure payment methods, which are displayed at checkout. We reserve the right to not offer certain payment methods for specific orders.

7.3 Your order and payment information is processed securely and only used for the purpose of handling your order.

8. WARRANTY AND LIABILITY

8.1 We stand behind the quality of our products and offer a warranty in line with applicable Dutch consumer protection law for defects in materials or workmanship.

8.2 Our liability towards you is limited to what is reasonably foreseeable in connection with your order, except in cases involving injury, health damage, or damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence on our part.

8.3 Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

9.1 If you cancel your order before it has shipped, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.

9.2 If you return an eligible item after delivery, we will refund the purchase amount to your original payment method once we have received and inspected the returned item, generally within a reasonable period after receipt.

10. DATA PROTECTION

We collect and process personal data only to the extent necessary to handle your order, respond to your questions, and improve our service, in accordance with applicable Dutch and European privacy law. For more details on how we handle your data, please contact us directly.

11. TRANSFER OF RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

Angkapaus may transfer rights and obligations arising from a contract with you to a third party, for example in the context of a business restructuring. If this happens in a way that affects your order, you have the right to cancel the contract at that time.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer residing in another EU country, you continue to benefit from any mandatory consumer protections provided by the law of your country of residence.

For disputes that cannot be resolved directly with us, EU consumers can also make use of the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNTS

From time to time, we may offer promotions or discount codes. Each promotion has its own specific terms, which will be made clear when the promotion is introduced. Discount codes are personal, cannot be combined with other offers, and have no cash value. We reserve the right to modify or end a promotion at any time.
